What are you hiding behind? We create walls around ourselves that are so deep and wide we can't break ourselves free of the very walls we've created. Is your wall a physical ailment? Weight issues? Non acceptance of who you are? Not accepting your social status? Your need to be all things to all people? Who knows, all of us have different walls we place around ourselves. We may not even realize these walls exist. Our only cognitive connection to these walls is the physical stress they claim in our day to day lives and the degeneration they bring to our total being. I don't have the answers on how to break these walls down as I have my own wall that I must endure. But, I do know someone who does offers us a tool that can chip these walls down if we choose to use it. God commands in his divine Word: "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that your may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12:2 The tool for me is the Bible. When I read God's Word and allow it to penetrate my heart I will be renewed into the truth from God. I will no longer live in the lies (walls) that I have created for myself or have allowed others to create for me. I am free! But I must remain faithful in us of this tool (the Bible), or else I will be left in a battle with no defenses.
