The dead TRUTH about microwave ovens

microwaveYeah, pun intended,  using microwave ovens on the regular is like asking for an early death sentance. Most of you probably don't know this but I'm studying to become a certified herbalist. I'm so excited about all of the amazing things I am learning. Last class we got on the topic of microwave ovens and why is it not good to use them. I've always known that microwave must be bad for our health because of the radiation emitted from the box. But what I didn't know are the following insightful facts:

* *Microwaving prepared meats sufficiently to insure sanitary ingestion caused formation of

d‑Nitrosodienthanolamines, a well-known carcinogen.


* *Microwaving milk and cereal grains converted some of their amino acids into carcinogens.


**Thawing frozen fruits converted their glucoside and galactoside containing fractions into carcinogenic

substances.


* *Extremely short exposure of raw, cooked or frozen vegetables converted their plant alkaloids into

carcinogens.


* *Carcinogenic free radicals were formed in microwaved plants, especially root vegetables.


* *Decrease in nutritional value.

 

And don't even think about warming breast milk in the microwave.

 

The effects of microwaving breast milk have also been researched. John Kener, M.D. and Richard Quin, M.D. from Stanford University report that microwaving breast milk, even at a low setting can destroy some of its disease‑fighting capabilities. Another study warned that microwaving breast milk may lead to structural, functional and immunological changes, and that microwaves transform the ammo acid L-proline into D-proline, a proven toxin to the nervous system, liver, and kidneys.
